Bad Gastein / Bad Hofgastein
The resorts of Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein are set in the Gasteinertal ski area, one of the largest in Austria with its impressive 200km of ski slopes. The resorts are surrounded by 17 thermal springs set among a landscape of glacier mills and natural stone monuments which are remnants of the ice age.
The Snow
- Excellent skiing for intermediates and advanced skiers.
- Buses and a train connect the widely spread out variety of slopes, some running through forest providing a challenge for the intermediate skier with the many red slopes also making the resort's particularly attractive to this level.
- The relatively high altitude makes the Gasteinertal ski area particularly snow safe.
Après ski
- Bad Gastein has a great selection of bars, restaurants and a casino
- Bad Hofgastein also offers a friendly mix of bars cafes and nightclubs.
- Both resorts offer natural thermal baths to soothe away the aches of the day.
The Rest
- Bad Gastein is the larger of the 2 resorts and due to it's hilly town centre would not be suitable for people with reduced mobility
- Bad Hofgastein offers the more traditional Austrian village athmosphere.

Ski School
Group course for 4 years +. All-day care is provided by specially trained ski teachers. The ski school is open Sunday to Friday from 10.00 to 15.00 (with a 1 hour lunch break). Your children will be able to safely learn how to ski. Ski courses for children include: Care, lunch and beverage
